Situated in a delightful position just 2 km from the impressive tall
towers of the historic town of San Gimignano, the Hotel Sovestro stretches across a vast park of pine trees, surrounded

The Hotel Sovestro offers 40 rooms in total of which twenty eight are on the ground floor, each with its own adjacent,
panoramic garden for private use. The other twelve rooms are located on the first floor with a balcony. All the
rooms are decorated in a simple but elegant style and each have a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, minibar,
TV LCD 26", Sky Tv, telephone, with air-conditioning or heating depending on the season. The building materials
used include open brickwork, tiles, valuable woods and curtain fabrics and evoke the warm atmosphere of the farmhouses
of yester-year. Everything is visibly oriented towards satisfying the various needs of guests, at whatever time
of year they choose to stay.
An indispensable component of any relaxing holiday is a pool and at the Hotel Sovestro there are two to choose
from, both set in a reserved and sunny position.
The Hotel Sovestro is also equipped for disabled guests. The staff are on hand to ensure you get the most from
your holiday so as well as added extras such as a spacious parking area shaded by the foliage of pine trees, easy
access to the swimming pools and the practical laundry room, to the courteous and discreet attention of all staff
who can supply assistance and information on the facilities available in the neighbourhood.
Just a few metres from the entrance of Hotel Sovestro lies the exceptionally welcoming "da Pode" Restaurant.
Sympathetically renovated to maintain the original architectural and decorative details of old-fashioned rural
style - beams and stone, terracotta floors - the restaurant is situated in an old farmhouse with a chimney that
delivers happily inviting scrolls of smoke.
The balance between nature and tradition returns in the cuisine of the "da Pode" Restaurant. All the
dishes, prepared and served under the watchful eye of Lucia, are created using only the freshest, locally produced
ingredients and the varied recipes typical of the House and of internationally famous Tuscan cuisine. The choice
of wines is also excellent, living up to the expectations of what one would expect to find in a geographic area
with a winemaking vocation of which the nation is rightfully proud. The rest is performed by the affable, constant
willingness of the proprietors to create the best possible atmosphere among diners.
From the Hotel Sovestro you can visit many important historica sites such as San Gimignano, Sienna, Certaldo or
Volterra and walking excursions and cultural trips of all kinds are encouraged. Guests can also take part in the
the following activities nearby; trekking, mountain-bike and motorcycle hire, tennis, golf, horse-riding.
The famous 'Palio' horserace of Siena is an authentic festivity of people and one not to be missed. It is a beautiful
competition that it's celebrated every 2 July and 16 August on the ring of "tufo" of the Piazza del Campo.
