The entire Fattoria degli Usignoli's structure was originally built by the monks of Vallombrosa around the 14th
century, in San Donato in Fronzano andf has since been lovingly renovated to offer a range of apartments and studios
which have all been comfortably furnished in typical Tuscan style.

Each apartment is equipped with direct dial telephone, satellite television, minibar, hair dryer & safe, balcony
or terraces with table and chairs.
The entire property covers an area of eleven hectares in a lovely panoramic position 400 metres above sea level,
so guests of the Fattoria can also benefit from the extensive well-kept gardens with two swimming pools plus a
children's pool. Activities such as tennis, table tennis, bowling, children's play area, billiard table are available
as well as the large riding school with its various paddocks suitable for learners or experts, and mountain bikes
for hire. Some activities are subject to an additional charges payable locally.
The beautiful city of Florence is less than 30km away and can be easily and conveniently reached by train from
nearby Regello, thereby avoiding the busy city traffic. The position of the Fattoria degli Usignoli offers easy
accessibility to the various art cities, whilst at the same time the opportunity to appreciate its magnificent
country setting.
The Fattoria also has a poolside snack bar and restaurant, with barbecue evenings, as well as a charming amphitheatre
for occasional musical events during the summer. Located in the original cellars with their brick vaults, the restaurant
offers a unique warm atmosphere. Furnished in local rustico style, it offers an excellent cuisine based on the
best Tuscan tradition, as well as international dishes.
The jewel in the crown must certainly be the highly professional Cookery School where weekly courses are offered
(please ask for details). Guests are invited to come and learn how to cook our local dishes such as Ribollita,
Fagioli all'Uccelletto, Panzanella, etc., washed down with home produced wine; Chianti from the Florentine hills.
Every year Fattoria degli Usignoli gives 0,03% of their turnver to the following charities: Medici senza frontiere,
Maria Teresa di Calcutta, Missionari Comboniani.
